Mountain Bike Ride in Pinar de la Algaida-Salinas de Bonanza

Registration is required. Must register by Feb 26.  Open to adult U.S. DoD I.D. cardholders 18 years and older.

This bicycle route runs immersed in a pine forest, an island of thick vegetation in the middle of the plain that forms the surrounding marshes. Throughout the tour we are within the Doñana Natural Area. This pine forest sits on a primitive dune system, where remains of Tartessians and Romans have been found. Recent studies say that Atlantis is under these lands. During the bicycle tour, in addition to enjoying the beauty of the place, we will see the Great Eucalyptus, a cataloged unique tree of Andalusia, used by the watchtower guards given its great height. At various points on the bicycle route we can see and in some enter the marshland, from there the view is lost in the immense plain, which in times of rain is completely flooded.
